More Info

NDI measurement systems use optical and/or electromagnetic technologies to determine the 3D/6D location and orientation of specially marked objects within a given coordinate system.

NDI Optical Tracking

Optical systems can track both active and passive markers attached to tools and provide precise, real-time spatial measurements. See Optical Technology for more information on the measurement technology that powers the Polaris Family of products.

NDI Electromagnetic Measurement

Electromagnetic measurement technology allows for applications requiring precise, real-time spatial measurements without requiring line-of-sight. See Electromagnetic Technology for more information on the measurement technology that powers the Aurora System.

Other Tracking Technologies

While current products focus on optical and electromagnetic tracking, NDI is also commited to continually evaluate and research various other core fundamental tracking options. NDI's years of experience focused on the medical market enable our technical experts to effectively evaluate basic technology and its potential application in medicine.
