Choosing the Best Optical Tracking System for Your Application

The Polaris Spectra® and Polaris Vicra® are based on the same core technology. Consider these factors when choosing a Polaris system for your application:

The flexibility and reliability of the Polaris Spectra make it ideal for cross-platform applications and applications requiring very large measurement volumes. The Spectra has two modalities, hybrid and passive. For more information on the differences, see Choosing an NDI Optical Tracking Technology.

Polaris Vicra, in comparison, offers exceptional accuracy and small footprint, making it ideal for new and exisiting computer assisted surgery and therapy applications requiring small measurement volumes.
